Thank You and Welcome to the Children of India. We look forward to your full participation; in creating a space for the forgotten village girls in India where they will receive an education that is nurturing for their body, mind and spirit.
As our Master will be traveling for the next two years to share the teachings of the Divine Mother and Para-Tan Sound Healing all over the world, this has made the center available as an interim school. The lecture rooms will become classrooms after a thorough paintjob and some other adjustments that will make the rooms suitable for young inventive children to explore. By July 2010, we will start with kindergarten, which focuses on developing social, imaginative play based learning for children from 3 to 6 years old. .
We hope to make a difference in the way children are educated in Madurai District. Generally, district schools in Tamil Nadu treat their children like production line products; all what the schools are concerned about is the percentage of students passing exams. For instance as a westerner, I have noticed that most children who are learning English in school cannot make simple English conversation or have an understanding of the English words they memorize for their exams. As such, English for them is not a living language but a memorizing task, to score good marks on exams. Even teachers in these schools cannot make simple English conversation with correct grammar; unfortunately, this is also true for teachers in some private colleges.
What we would like to do in our school is to find as many ways to create the spark needed in the students that will make learning for them a joyful adventure rather than a memorizing task without any practical implementation of the theory .
We would provide not only an educational setting for the children, but also a nurturing, warm safe and loving environment. Because the young children will spend so many hours a day in a setting other than their own homes, it is important to put an emphasis on creating harmonious surroundings that will nurture their developing personalities.
By the end of 2010, we like to complete building the first phase of the Mahavidya Girls School for village children so that they are given the gift of body, mind and spirit nurturing education. THE CHILDREN NEED YOUR HELP! so please join me, and help them.
In order for this vision to manifest in a most beautiful way we need your help.
How you can help!
1. You can sponsor a child in our school. By sponsoring, you will help giving a child, freedom for the cycle of poverty. For just US $36 per month, you could change the faith of a child. Here the funds received will go directly to caring and educating the children. We are not into offer charity to the children, they are going to cared for as you would your own children, thus costing us more money than just supporting some poor kids in need.
2 You can help by hosting a series of workshops in your local area. Please visit http://www.tantric-goddess.org/tantric_workshop_dates.htmlto see what type of workshops our Master offers. In this way your will help serve your community, and at the same time help the children. All proceeds from the workshops will be going towards the building fund. So far the major portion of the project funding comes from income derived from workshop.
3 You can help by raising funds and make the project known by as many people as possible
4 In 2010 we will need volunteers who have an affinity with teaching young children in a playful manner; who can inspire young children and who can explore life with them. We also need people who want to help us manage the project. We can offer you food and accomadation.
5 In 2011 we will need volunteer language teachers, administrative kitchen and other staff that help run the daily activities in the school.
